Recently we shared with you the schedule for this summer’s Rolling Roadshow from the famed Alamo Drafthouse and Levi’s. If you’re interested in attending any of the wonderful movie-going experiences, you’ll be interested to learn some new updates, and to check out a trailer for the events and some fantastic posters specially created by Olly Moss.
For those of you planning to check out the first stop on the tour, Jackie Brown this Friday at the Los Angeles Del Amo Fashion Mall, another great reason to go has been announced. It looks like none other than Quentin Tarantino and Robert Forster are set to appear at the event. It does note that this is scheduling permitted, but their attendance would make seeing the flick at one of its crucial locations all the more exciting for fans.
Continue on for more updates, and to check out the Roadshow trailer featuring scenes from the locations of the screenings and all of the great posters by Olly Moss.
Next up is the announcement that Gowalla has put together some special trips to go along perfectly with each show. For example, if you take the trip that pairs with the screening of The Godfather Part II in New York, you’ll visit Cafe Reggio, the Ellis Island Immigration Museum where Vito first arrived in America, and Vito’s childhood home. Each movie has a special trip like this planned out, and the first 50 people to complete each city’s unique experience will receive a VIP package to the screening for that location. Head over to Gowalla to learn about all of the trips and how to take part.
Lastly, you can head on over to the official Facebook page to RSVP to the events you want to attend.
I personally won’t be able to go to any of the screenings, but one thing is for sure: I want these posters immediately.
