Wake me up from my boredom coma when Monsterpocalypse releases.

Sorry for trolling in my last comment. If I were allowed to edit it I would. But it still doesn’t change the fact that this film offers nothing original. Why market it so much like a Transformers film? It just confuses an audience. It’s even using the same sound effects.

I don’t know how much of a Transformers vibe I get from this trailer, other than the appearance of the space ships and maybe some of the sound effects here and there. The aliens themselves kinda remind me a little bit of the monsters in Stephen King’s “Mist” movie (gigantic, organic looking and we only get to see bits and pieces) and the invasion itself feels more like “Independence Day” (the part where aliens and Air Force are battling in the skies, ships appearing in all cities and just hovering there). I’m actually a bit more intrigued by this trailer than I was upon previous updates but I do agree that the special effects are probably going to be the overriding force in this film, maybe at the expense of any real story. Still, I’m willing to give it a chance as a rental, at least (unless reviews are solid and convince me to part with $10 to see it in a movie theater)! I guess this is what I get for growing up with Saturday morning monster movies. A sucker for sci-fi, aliens and monsters…

I’ve already seen this movie.
It was called Independence Day.
It sucked too.
