Confirming a cavalcade of rumors about WB possibly bringing a special prologue from their upcoming film, The Dark Knight Rises, to some screenings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the studio has announced just what theaters can expect to house this sucker. All 42 of them. Check out the full list here below.
The opening runs six minutes long, and while nothing is obviously known about what to expect here, it will be screened in 70mm IMAX, playing into the fact that less than 50 screens will be hosting this hugely anticipated promotional bit.
There isn’t too much to say about this, other than that it is going to be one of the biggest reasons why people flock to the theaters on December 16, 2011. Sure, MI4 looks killer, but the opening to what may be the biggest finale of any film franchise this generation will see, is going to be huge. Here’s to hoping that somehow, some way, that sucker will live up to the hype. Here’s the full list of locations.
