Apparently Legendary Pictures really can’t get their act together.
According to Deadline, just a day after they revealed that their upcoming film Paradise Lost would be shelved until further notice, Deadline reports that Arthur and Lancelot has also fallen to the same fate.
The company paid $2 million to nab the rights to the script penned by David Dobkin, and already had the pair of Kit Harington and Joel Kinnaman attached to play. The film will follow the story of the iconic duo, and their relationship, but has now officially fallen off the radar.
The film won’t get back on the right path until it can cut is budget from $110 million to $90 million, something that’s not seemingly going to happen any time soon. It shouldn’t be too hard of an issue to resolve, but at this point, it’s on the shelf.
Personally, I’m actually quite upset by this news, as the film sounded insanely intriguing. I love the cast, but apparently, the most intriguing of projects are taking the hit for being a bit too expensive.
