Gone are the days of simply walking to any panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. Now people are doing full-fledged scheduling in order to at least cope with the insanity that the convention has evolved into. So take comfort (or worry even more, depending on your POV) that Warner Brothers is planning an outdoor festival called Extra Stage, and it will all take place during the Con.
Here’s what will go down during the event that will run throughout the convention: A massive 60,000 foot stage will be erected for Q&As from for favorite WB shows. There will also be live music and entertainment shown on the stage as well. Also being featured is four sets of collectible flip covers featuring the casts of The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries.
But if that is not enough to whet your appetite, then how about six Batmobiles being presented at the festival. Yes, that includes them all, from television and from film. This will be a first time that all of the Batmobiles have been together for such an occasion. Hopefully there will be an opportunity for you to take all six at once.
There will also be a presentation of The Lord of the Rings video game. Attendees will also have the chance to try a hands on demo of the game which is set to hit store shelves on October 2012.
The San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 12-14.
