It was originally thought that Disney would be releasing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Ant-Man in 2014. That’s three Marvel films in one year alone.
Well it may be one too many for one year or director Edgar Wright needs more time to work on the script after he finishes The World’s End, because it has been announced that Ant-Man will be hitting theaters November 6, 2015. That’s a couple of months after The Avengers 2 hits theaters.
Disney has also announced some additional features and more release dates for their upcoming titles. Check them out below.
Iron Man 3, which is scheduled to hit theaters May 3, 2013, will also be getting a 3D release. Not surprising since many studios are gravitating towards converting their tentpole films to 3D. Thor: The Dark World will also be released in 3D on November 8, 2013. Although Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the only title not to mention a 3D presentation, you can expect that to change as it gets closer to its April 4, 2014 release. As for Guardians of the Galaxy, its August 1, 2014 release remains unchanged.
Moving on to the Disney properties. The Phineas and Ferb movie is moving to an unspecified 2014 release date. It was originally scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2013. The Tom Hanks starring vehicle Saving Mr. Banks is now scheduled for a December 20, 2013 release. Disneynature will release unleashes Bears on April 18, 2014. The studio will also release an untitled feature on November 7th, 2014.
Finally, Pixar will release an untitled film on November 25, 2015.
