A new horror video game from the mind of the great Guillermo del Toro and inspired in some aspects by the works of H.P. Lovecraft is a video game that’s going to excite people. As it turned out, however, THQ was not among those people.

Unlike his massive R-rated H.P. Lovecraft project, At the Mountains of Madness, which still seeks a new home as he finishes work on his upcoming blockbuster, Pacific Rim, it appears that the video game, titled inSane, may already have a new home.

Xbox 720 Image

Not only is this not the first time that we’ve heard rumors of Microsoft’s next generation console follow-up to the Xbox 360, known only as the Xbox 720 or code name “Durango” at the moment, but it’s not the first time we’ve heard about a possible 2013 holiday season release window.

According to sources, Microsoft is planning to release their new console come this time next year, and the company is still trying to decide whether to announce it officially at the next E3 convention, or do their own special announcement event.

Iron Man 3 Trailer Header

The Avengers marked the end of Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and come next year a new story line will unravel with the character that started it all. Iron Man 3 is still 6 months away and we have already seen one massive trailer that just wowed audiences everywhere. Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) takes over as director and is setting a new tone for the film and will attempt to recapture the “lighting in a bottle” that we saw in the first Iron Man.

This new tone in Iron Man 3 will most likely be a result of the events that occurred in The Avengers. After all it was Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) who made the “sacrifice play.” But despite what you may have seen in the first trailer, Iron Man 3 may not be as dark as you might think. According to Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige, the film will be “fresh” and “seriously dig into exploring more of Tony.”

Julius Caesar in Spartacus Image

The upcoming third season of Starz’s hit sword and sandals drama, Spartacus, titled Spartacus: War of the Damned, will be the show’s final season. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is ready to give up playing in that period of time just yet.

It’s being reported that Starz is kicking around the idea of doing a spinoff series that would center around none other than the Roman general Gaius Julius Caesar.

Double Jumpers #3Double Jumpers #3
Written by Dave Dwonch
Art by Bill Blankenship
Action Lab Comics
Release Date: October 31, 2012
Cover Price: $3.99

Double Jumpers #3 is the penultimate chapter of this series, and I really can’t wait to see how this series ends. Not that I want it to end, it’s just so good that I want to see how all the storylines are resolved. Like the previous two issues, this one is very entertaining, funny, and an all-around good read.

Writer Dave Dwonch turns in another very entertaining issue here, it’s on the level with the last two very funny issues. As much as the “fish out of water/body switching” story formula has been used, this series makes it as fresh as if it were the first time you were reading a story using that plot device. As the gang from our universe travels on to fulfill their quest to finish the game and get back home, the four game characters continue to reek havoc in Las Vegas. There’s a lot of twists and turns in this issue, and it really throws the audience for a loop. I can’t even imagine how this series is going to end, but I’m really looking forward to finding out.
