The first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan‘s After Earth was nothing more than a tease that can be best described as an announcement that the film was his latest directorial effort. There was nothing much to look at, but what was given in the trailer looked pretty cool to say the least. The visuals were just as fascinating to the viewers as it was to the characters (played by Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith), and now a new trailer is giving us a better sense of the world that surrounds these characters and the story that will hopefully keep the audiences interested. But just because it was a speedy shoot, doesn’t mean that the quality of the film was sacrificed. Shot in entirely black and white, Whedon’s latest directorial effort is a modern day spin on the classic Shakespeare tale that follows two unlikely lovers falling for each other. Now we’ve got the first trailer for the film from Lionsgate. Hit the jump to see more.
