| NYCC 2017 Video Interview: Cast Of FOX’s Marvel Show ‘The Gifted’
The highly anticipated FOX series The Gifted premiered its first episode last week, and has already received much acclaim for what is being called a solid start to the Marvel show. Set in the same Marvel universe as the X-Men films and loosely connected to FX’s Legion, The Gifted “tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers,” FOX says. Geeks Of Doom had the chance this weekend to sit down and interview stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Percy Hynes White at New York Comic-Con 2017.

| ‘The Gifted’ Trailer: FOX Has Their Own ‘X-Men’ TV Show
First, it was Legion. Now it’s The Gifted. Just as Marvel has expanded their little movie universe by taking a step into TV, so has FOX with their X-Men properties. Though these shows then to vary between praises and criticisms, nothing is really going to stop them from being made. So in order to stop from being repetitive, Fox’s The Gifted gets a new angle. A family on the run with their father who used to work for the very people who are chasing them. While it’s a premise we’ve seen before, the added mix of a child with special powers does provide a new Marvel twist. And that may just be the thing to make this show a hit. Check out the full trailer below.

| FOX Gives Full-Series Order To X-Men Show ‘The Gifted’ From Matt Nix, Bryan Singer
In addition to the recent FX series Legion, which was recently renewed for a second season, FOX has also been developing another X-Men spinoff TV series from Burn Notice and The Comedians creator Matt Nix. Some of the things we’ve known about it up to this point include that it would be set in the X-Men universe with mutants, that FOX had ordered a pilot episode set to be directed by longtime X-Men movie director Bryan Singer, and that Jamie Chung would star as Blink. A handful of months after ordering the pilot, FOX has now given a full series order to the show along with an official title: The Gifted. They’ve also released a brief teaser, which can be found below along with more details on the story and cast.

| NYCC 2015: ‘Firefly’ Reunion With Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk & More!Years after its cancellation, Firefly is still very much alive. To the delight of fans of the cult hit, New York Comic-Con held a Firefly Reunion panel on Saturday, October 10th. Believe it or not, it’s been 10 years since the release of the show’s companion film, Serenity. Stars Gina Torres, Nathan Fillion, and Jewel Staite were all scheduled to grace the stage for the Q&A, and all three arrived, with the addition of surprise guest Alan Tudyk! Although Tudyk needed to meet Amy Acker to work on ADR (additional dialogue recorded) for their show, Con Man, he was able to stay for the first 20 minutes of the panel. He thrilled the crowd early on by announcing that “everyone on the stage here is in this season of Con Man.” In fact, viewers can see both Torres and Staite on the show this Wednesday, October 14th.

| SDCC 2015: First Trailer For ‘Firefly’-Inspired ‘Con Man’ From Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion |
|
We may never see Firefly live and breathe again (unless someone finally wakes up and finds a way to makes it happen for us), but while die hard fans of the series continue to hopelessly wait for that day to arrive something else inspired by Joss Whedon‘s show has been born. Back in March we found out about Con Man, a web series from Firefly co-stars Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion. Mirroring their previous gig working together, the web series follows actors from a canceled (far too soon) science fiction TV show. The actor who playued the captain on the show (Fillion) goes on to become a big movie star, while the actor who played the pilot (Tudyk) finds himself traveling around making appearances and sci-fi conventions. A trailer for Con Man was shared during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con—the first web series to have a Hall H panel—and now the trailer is available to enjoy online. You can see it below along with a poster and full synopsis that includes the cast of very familiar names you’ll see in the series.
