It’s been a couple of years now since we first heard that an updated version of the Carl Sagan documentary series Cosmos was on the way, and that it was being produced by Family Guy and American Dad! creator Seth MacFarlane, and hosted by astrophysicist rock star Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Now comes word that we’ll finally get to watch the new 13-episode updated Cosmos sometime in 2014 when it’s aired on Fox. No official premiere date has been announced as of yet.
Sagan’s original aired in 1980 and became the highest rated series on PBS. The show has remained popular over the past three decades, but, obviously, it also becomes more dated as each new year comes and goes. Not only have we come a long way technologically, but there’s also a wealth of new information to share and teach the masses, making it the perfect time for a new version of the show.
Will you watch the new version of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos with Neil deGrasse Tyson as host?

There is no question as if I will watch it, it’s only a matter of when? Hopefully we don’t have to wait until fall 2014 to see it. Although I’m sad to hear that it will be on Fox but I can understand why.
