The planned movie will be produced by Mark Gordon, Don Murphy, and Susan Montford, while the original TV series was produced by Turner Broadcasting based on an idea by Ted Turner himself. This is naturally impossible to mention without linking this little Robot Chicken sketch.
A movie was also attempted in the ’90s but didn’t work out, and a live-action series was being developed for Cartoon Network in the late ’00s that never happened.
It’s unclear whether this latest movie attempt would be an animated flick or if it’ll be live-action.
