Fox recently announced that they’re bringing The Wolverine, along with star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold, and their Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, along with stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and director Matt Reeves to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which kicks off later this week. But that’s not all they’re bringing.
The studio also revealed that they would be bringing a surprise panel to the convention this year, and that it will be “something major.” But what could it be?
There’s many possibilities, but a new image has been released that could indicate it’s a new movie in the Predator franchise. See the image and speculate away below now!
The easy guess would be that the surprise is actually Bryan Singer’s X-Men: First Class sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is currently scheduled for release next May. But because that movie will have come and gone by the time next year’s Comic-Con rolls around, it wouldn’t be all that much of a surprise for it to show up this year.
Other possibilities include the planned Fantastic Four reboot and maybe even the long-rumored Deadpool movie, the latter of which certainly would be an exciting surprise.
Then there’s Predator. The official Facebook page for Predators, the sequel released three years ago, posted the image you see below with the hash tag #HuntThePredator at the bottom. The predator vision Google map you see in the background is San Diego, in the same area that Comic-Con is held.
Could this mean that one of Fox’s surprises is a brand new movie in the Predator franchise? Or could it be something much less exciting, such as the mobile game AVP Evolution?
What are you hoping Fox’s surprise is?
