The hit vampire, werewolf, and various other creatures and fantastical beings series, True Blood, is still going strong, and HBO has reaffirmed this by officially announcing a seventh season of the show.
Season six of the series premiered on June 26th to about 4.5 million viewers, and the show is exceeding 10 million viewers per episode across all platforms.
HBO’s president of programming, Michael Lombardo, who made the announcement, had this to say of the announcement:
“TRUE BLOOD remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers. Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
True Blood is based on author Charlaine Harris‘s “Southern Vampire Mysteries” book series, also known as “The Sookie Stackhouse Novels.”
