My, how the time just flies. I had forgotten that the release for the latest Marvel Studios blockbuster Thor: The Dark World was getting close. Not because I wasn’t looking forward to it – I am a committed Marvel movie fanboy – but because lately I’ve been terribly busy at home. In a little over two weeks the second solo screen adventure of Chris Hemsworth‘s mighty thunder god with the impeccable blonde mane will hit theaters from Barcelona to Bakersfield. One of the big question marks surrounding the release is what we can expect from the inevitable post-credits teaser scene. Iron Man 3 cleverly subverted such expectations by ending on a jokey note, but Dark World‘s final mystery scene looks to give audiences who weren’t in attendance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con at Marvel’s next big movie gamble – August 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. And Dark World director Alan Taylor ain’t too happy about that.

| Bruce Campbell Confirms Participation In ‘Army Of Darkness 2’ |

Though some may know him as Sam Axe from Burn Notice and others remember him as Sebastian Haff in Bubba Ho-Tep, Bruce Campbell is Ash from the original Evil Dead movies to many people. It is therefore somewhat exciting to hear from Mr. Campbell himself that he will be participating in a new Army of Darkness sequel in the near future. Word of the film, tentatively called Army of Darkness 2, first came out in March of this year when Sam Raimi first mentioned at a “Meet the Filmmakers” event in London that he’d love to write a script for Evil Dead 4 with his brother Ivan during the summer. With the release of the new Evil Dead film directed by Fede Alvarez, this had some fans scratching their heads as to what precisely he meant. Did he mean a sequel to the new movie, creating a fourth movie with the title Evil Dead? Or did he mean a sequel to Army of Darkness? The situation became clear when Raimi-collaborator Robert Tapert said that it is the latter at South by Southwest a few weeks later.
