It was only five weeks ago when the news broke that Charlie Hunnam landed the lead role of Christian Grey in director Sam Taylor-Wood’s big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey, the best-selling erotic romance novel by E. L. James. If you’re like me, then the promise of seeing the Sons Of Anarchy star in the buff in some steamy sex scenes made Fifty Shades Of Grey something to look forward to. Unfortunately, Hunnam has reportedly dropped out of the project.

Oh, the glory of the ridiculous action delivered in The Expendables 2. This is vibrant popcorn-movie wonder, a kick ass explosive injection of testosterone straight to the stones, and enjoyable. The cheese is thick and hearty – after all, who doesn’t like a little cheese with their nachos? Picking up sometime after the first Expendables movie, Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) comes back to claim a mission in place of the lost revenue from the last mission. Barney (Sylvester Stallone) rallies his team, accompanied by Agent Maggie Chan (Yu Nan), to retrieve sensitive computer data lost in a downed plane in Albania.

IDW Publishing has done a fine job since taking over the license for James O’Barr’s The Crow, with a bevy of new series based on the classic property. IDW has announced their next series for the goth spirit of vengeance with The Crow: Pestilence coming in 2014. The miniseries will be written by novelist Frank Bill (Donnybrook), and this will mark his first comic work. Art on the series will be provided by Drew Moss (The Colonized), with covers coming from The Crow creator O’Barr. Pestilence takes the Crow down to Juarez, Mexico for another round of revenge, and that’s about all we know so far. We can assume some tragic figure is going to die tragically and then come back to life and kill a bunch of people as is par for the course with The Crow.

| BBC Announces The Discovery and Restoration Of 9 Classic ‘Doctor Who’ Episodes
The BBC today announced that 9 episodes from Patrick Troughton-era of classic Doctor Who (1966-69) were found earlier this year at a Nigerian television station and will be available for immediate purchase via Apple iTunes. The episodes come from two multi-part serials for which only one episode each was known to exist: “The Enemy Of The World” and “The Web Of Fear.” As a result of this discovery, “The Enemy Of The World” serial can now be watched whole in the UK for the first time since it was originally broadcast, and for the first time ever in the United States. Episode 3 of “The Web Of Fear” serial is still missing even after this discovery, but a reconstruction from stills and program audio is included to complete the story. All 11 episodes from the two serials exist on film and were digitally restored prior for this release.
