Spera, written by Josh Tierney and published by Archaia tells the tale of two princesses who have no other choice but to start anew — and it is not an easy road. Princess Lono’s safe and secure life behind castle walls has come to an abrupt end. Her father, the King, has been murdered by the Queen of a neighboring kingdom. Pira, daughter of the Queen, and Yonder, her fire spirit dog and protector, rescue Lono in an attempt at preserving their very lives. Daniel Douglas is just a regular Joe…well, a regular “Dan” anyway…with a 9 to 5 tech job that he once loved, but now finds endless and unfulfilling. Other than his recent bad dreams (sometimes in HD and sometimes in over-the-air fuzzy reception), and his occasional Friday night cosplay party attendance, Dan lives a normal life. Normal, that is, until he begins developing random superpowers. Not So Super is awesome! Period. (Or exclamation point if you prefer!) It takes an everyman sort of character, in a boring every day job and then gives him something that he must have dreamed about having (superpowers), but is unable to control or understand.
