Doctor Who: The Complete Eighth Series was previously announced for Blu-ray and DVD release on December 9, 2014 from BBC Home Entertainment. All twelve episodes will be presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Now we have a full rundown of the special features we can expect:

An early Happy Christmas to Who fans the world over it looks like.
Independent home video distributors Olive Films has signed a deal to release the obscure horror movies in the Slasher // Video catalog in remastered editions on DVD and Blu-ray in 2015. Among them are the infamous shot-on-video cult classics Death Nurse, Death Nurse 2, and the immortal Boardinghouse. Slasher // Video founder Jesus Teran confirmed the deal in a statement saying, “Working with Olive Films will take my mission of releasing obscure cinema with care and passion even further.” “We’re excited to work with Slasher // Video,” Olive Films’ Senior Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions Eric D. Wilkinson said. “We look forward to continuing the work Jesus Teran has done and bringing these films to a wider audience.” The first release under the Olive/Slasher deal will be the 1984 feature Satan’s Blade, which will be available for sale beginning February 24, 2015.
The Weinstein Company and Anchor Bay Entertainment have set a November 25, 2014 date for the release of Philip Noyce’s young adult novel adaptation The Giver on Blu-ray and DVD. Starring Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Brenton Thwaites, Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, and Taylor Swift, the futuristic fantasy will include the following extras:

Looks like one of the best bad action flicks of all time is getting an HD upgrade pretty soon. Cinema Epoch is unleashing Amir Shervan‘s mind-blowing cult classic Samurai Cop on Blu-ray on November 25, 2014. The film will be remastered from the newly discovered 35mm negatives and feature a ton of all-new supplements:
