Swiss avant-garde metal gods Triptykon have just released a brand new video for the eight-minute-long epic opening track of their masterpiece album Melana Chasmata.
The track is called “Tree of Suffocating Souls” and is the second video from the album, following up the outstanding “Aurorae.” Much like its predecessor, this video is shot entirely in black and white, but this one stands as more of a straight ahead performance clip.
Watch the video for “Tree of Suffocating Souls” here below.
Triptykon is led by singer/guitarist Tom G. Warrior (a.k.a. Thomas Gabriel Fischer) the mastermind behind the groundbreaking extreme metal bands, Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. Melana Chasmata is the band’s second full-length album, and is sure to be sitting very near the top of many critics’ year-end “best of” list, including my own.
