The first Star Wars: The Force Awakens character names have officially been revealed!
Entertainment Weekly got the scoop from LucasFilm, who provided the information for the new characters as old-school Trading Cards in the style of the collectible cards from the original Star Wars trilogy.
From the new cards, which use the red and blue borders of the original trilogy’s cards, we learn who John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Oscar Isaac are playing in the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars sequel, as well as who that rolling droid is and more!
Check out the cards and details here below.
We learn from the cards that the ball droid is named BB-8; Boyega is Finn; Daisy Ridley is Rey; Oscar Isaac is Poe Dameron; and that the Sith with the cross-shield lightsaber is named Kylo Ren. There also three more non-character cards on the list.
Here’s the list of Trading Cards revealed by EW; Abrams told EW that there is a significance to the numbers.
“¢ #11 “” BB-8 on the move
“¢ #53 “” Poe Dameron in his X-Wing
“¢ #67 “” Kylo Ren ignites his Lightsaber
