Now that Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as the title character in Marvel’s Doctor Strange, the next question is, how will the actor look as the Sorcerer Supreme?
Director Scott Derrickson, who was tapped back in June to direct Marvel’s 2016 film, is giving us a tease by way of some fan art.
Check it out here below.
Derrickson, who directed this year’s Deliver Us from Evil, posted the “Cumberbatch as Strange” image to his Twitter account yesterday with Talking Heads lyrics “Strange but not a stranger,” sending fans into a fury of speculation as to whether this was an official look.
Although it’s not official, Derrickson’s posting of the fan art was enough to get everyone excited. Doctor Strange is definitely on everyone’s radar and will likely continue to be as we await its November 4, 2016 theatrical release. Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2015 at Pinewood-Shepperton studios in the UK.
