Iron Maiden Fan Club X-mas Card 2014

In their annual Christmas card to fan club members, Iron Maiden has dropped clues about the band’s plans for the coming year. The card (pictured above) features Maiden mascot Eddie leaving a building labeled “studio.” This has led many to speculate that the band is working on a new album. If this is true, it would be Iron Maiden’s first studio album since 2010’s The Final Frontier.

The card also features a sign with the cryptic message “UROTON 51,” which happens to be an anagram for “on tour 15.” So, will we be fortunate enough to be graced with both an album and tour from Maiden in the coming months? Only time will tell.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Christmas Lightsaber

Everyone can appreciate a good Christmas lights and decorations display. It takes a lot of time and effort to put them all together, and they help greatly in getting everyone who sees them in more of a festive mood, which is nice.

But if you really want to win Christmas, it takes something truly special. Like, oh, say…a full lights show set to the best of John Williams‘ musical score for the Star Wars movies, for example. Someone did just that, and even included a couple of light beams having a lightsaber battle in the middle of the must-see display.

See The First Image From ‘Crimson Peak,’ Guillermo del Toro’s Upcoming Gothic Horror

Crimson Peak Hero Skull crest

The first image from Hellboy and Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro‘s much-anticipated upcoming gothic horror flick Crimson Peak has found its way online.

The image is simple, showing star Jessica Chastain in costume standing on some stairs, but it gives you a good idea of the style of the movie and that’s something that will be exciting for fans of the horror genre. Del Toro has described the movie as much closer to his Spanish-language films such as The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth—arguably his two best works to date—something he hasn’t been able to do in his English-language titles.

You can read more about the movie and check out the first image below.

‘The Interview’ Teaser: Despite Controversy Sony Still Releasing Promos For Poltical Satire

James Franco and Seth Rogen in The Interview

Covering the film news in last few days have been very strange to say least. From the threats, to theaters pulling The Interview, to Sony cancelling the film completely, all hope seemed lost. The studio still has no plans on showing the political satire in any format, but wants to remind us that it is still out there by releasing a new teaser trailer with a slight propaganda spin to it and the Christmas Day release still attached to it.

The latter might not mean much considering the teaser could have been created in anticipation for the film’s release, and if that is the case, it is strangely coincidental that the teaser would have the “In Franco and Rogen We Trust” tag attached to it. Does this mean VOD is on the way?

Hit the jump to watch the teaser.
