Back in May, The CW network picked up iZombie, Rob Thomas‘s small-screen adaptation of the DC/Vertigo comic book series created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred.
Now, the television network has unveiled the first look at the new show from the Veronica Mars creator. Watch the nearly 2-minute video here below.
iZombie begins airing on The CW on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
The story centers on Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver), a young medical student turned zombie who must hide the fact that she’s undead from her friends and family. She conveniently works at a coroner’s office, where once a month she eats the brains of the arrivals so that she can keep her wits about her. From consuming the brain, the dead person’s thoughts and personality are temporarily transferred to her, so she uses the new information to help her solve homicide mysteries.
Starring along with McIver is Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, David Anders, and Rahul Kohli.
With great source material, along with Thomas spearheading a female-led series like this and this first footage, you can already tell that iZombie is going to be good.
