Not really sure what there is to say about the new Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 trailer. The first film played the slapstick and absolute lunacy you often see in the family comedy genre by ear, and since it earned $183 million worldwide five years ago, a sequel was inevitable.
Kevin James reprises his role as the titular character who is taking a well-deserved vacation at a luxurious hotel, as well as attend a Security Guard Convention. It just so happens that a group of thieves also plans to steal from the casino, and it’s up to Paul Blart Mall Cop to stop them. Hit the jump to see the trailer.
Since I really don’t fit the film’s demographic, there really isn’t any point in bashing it senselessly. What isn’t funny for me, may be funny for the family of four who watches it, at least maybe the kids who watch it.
That being said, if you get a laugh out of Kevin James being hit by cars or kicked by horses, or enjoy him punching geriatric housekeeping, then this might be for you.
Also starring Raini Rodriguez, Daniella Alonso, Eduardo Verástegui, Neal McDonough, David Henrie, D.B. Woodside, and Nicholas Turturro, the Andy Fickman-directed Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 opens in theaters on April 17, 2015.
Synopsis
