Unless you are currently residing in a cave next door to old Ben Kenobi’s pad on Tatooine, you might have caught the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens that premiered during yesterday’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. The live stream cut out before the new teaser began, but was officially released online shortly thereafter, but if you’re interested in seeing how the crowd at Celebration reacted to the awe-inspiring trailer, a recording has surfaced, giving us both an eye and an earful of the excitement felt by the assembled masses.
You can watch the video here below.
Seeing this new trailer for The Force Awakens definitely got me excited for our latest trip back to the Star Wars universe, but watching the trailer again complete with the reaction of the Celebration audience raises my anticipation into the stratosphere. Unsurprisingly, it’s the final seconds of this trailer that received the loudest cheers. I have a feeling that director J.J. Abrams realized that would happen, so he saved the best for last. The man knows his audience.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens features a heavyweight cast headed by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, and our returning champions Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Kenny Baker. Abrams and company will take us back to a galaxy far, far away on December 18, 2015. Feel free to start lining up now.

Chills! The consensus seems to be people get the chills when they see Han & Chewie. I got them at the moment That Rey offers her hand to Finn to get up and carry on as the music rises.
I’m less stoked about the past of Star Wars and more stoked about the future. Finishing up the original trilogy’s storyline is going to be great, but I’m more excited to see where these new characters take the story!
