Another actor has entered into negotiations to join the cast of The Magnificent Seven, MGM’s upcoming remake of the 1960 western of the same name that starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen among many others.

Jason Momoa, who is best known for his roles in Stargate: Atlantis, Marcus Nispel’s Conan the Barbarian remake, and as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones (until he makes his debut as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice anyway), is the latest actor to become attached to the movie. Momoa would play one of the film’s villains if everything works out, though no details on who exactly that might be is not yet known. All that is known is that it’s not the primary antagonist, a role that has not been cast at the moment.

Also joining The Magnificent Seven is Byung-hun Lee, who can be seen playing the same T-1000 model as Robert Patrick’s liquid metal character in Terminator 2: Judgment Day in the upcoming latest entry to the franchise, Terminator Genisys. The actor is set to play a character named Billy Rocks, but that’s all we know of the role so far. Other movies he has starred in include G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, I Saw the Devil, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and RED 2. He also has some experience with westerns under his belt, having starred in 2008’s The Good, the Bad, the Weird.

The actors join an already impressive cast led by Denzel Washington (Glory, American Gangster), Ethan Hawke (Before Sunset, Boyhood), and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World). The cast also currently includes Vincent D’Onofrio (Men In Black, Daredevil), who will also be playing one of the movie’s villains, Wagner Moura (Elysium, Elite Squad), and Haley Bennett (Marley & Me, The Equalizer).

Additionally, Washington and Hawke are reuniting with their Training Day director Antoine Fuqua for The Magnificent Seven.

John Lee Hancock and True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto penned the screenplay.
