The latest trailer for Peyton Reed‘s Marvel Studios superhero adventure Ant-Man has been released. It comes from Japan and features more action and humor than previous trailers.
You can check it out here below.
Just about every clip in this trailer is either new or slightly different from what Marvel has previewed for us in recent months. We get more clips of Paul Rudd getting miniature and kicking butt (and outrunning a massive flood….in a bathtub) and Corey Stoll‘s Yellowjacket being an evil bastard. Whoever cut this trailer for the Japanese market had the good sense to conclude it with the priceless train set gag from the first full U.S. trailer released back in April.
There’s also a greater glimpse at the film’s plot and what motivates Rudd’s desperate thief Scott Lang to become a more heroic character with the help of Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), but unlike most trailers, this one gives us all the information we need as well as a tantalizing gander at the energetic action set-pieces.
I was already sold on this movie. Now I can consider myself oversold.
Ant-Man opens theatrically on July 17, 2015.
