It’s only been two days since Warner Bros. rocked Hall H with the announcement of The Green Lantern Corps, and footage from Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Oftentimes, the footage doesn’t get released until a few months after the Con, but Warner Bros. was generous enough to release the full trailer for Batman v Superman just minutes after their panel ended. For reasons unknown, Suicide Squad didn’t get the same treatment, leading us to believe that it would be exclusive to the Con. But in a surprising move, the studio has released the first trailer for the villainous ensemble film which features the likes of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, El Diablo, Katana, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Killer Croc, and the Joker joining the titular black-ops group to perform missions no other team could ever do.

Director David Ayers expressed his disappointment in those who leaked the footage on his personal Twitter account,

Shame our sneak peek Hall H footage was leaked. #notcool it's unfair to the fans who waited in line. And not how I intended folks to see it.

Footage being leaked isn’t a huge surprise. Also not surprising is people not caring about the quality of the footage being shown. Just look at how many youtube videos were posted in the hours since the footage/trailer was released. Though not much was said at the panel, the film is still in fact shooting as the cast was brought in from Toronto to present the footage to Hall H, Director Ayer said of the film that the good vs. evil stories are played out, and that “It’s time for bad versus evil.”

In the film, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), assembles a team of dangerous criminals to carry out black-ops missions in exchange for shorter prison sentences. She gets Katana (Karen Fukahara), Slipknot (Adam Beach), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and Deadshot (Will Smith) to be a part of the titular Suicide Squad. Now now Joker (Jared Leto) fits into all of this is still unknown, but it appears he wants to inflict a great deal of pain on someone – maybe Jason Todd?
