Last week on Dominion, we got a way way back flashback of Sodom and Gomorrah. Seems that Michael (Tom Wisdom) and Lyrae go and destroy everything, but Michael comes back furious with Lyrae. He kills his vessel. In the present it seems Julian (Simon Merrells)is not this miracle human at all, but somethig else. This does not bode well for anyone. I do hope this means that Gabriel (Carl Beukes) and Michael will team up to get rid of Julian. I kinda like Gabriel, even though he wants to skin my Alex (Christopher Egan). Speaking of… he was super busy evading 8-Balls, rescuing General Riesen (Alan Dale), curing another 8-Ball, and kissing Noma (Kim Engelbrecht). Don’t worry about Claire (Roxanne McKee) though. She’s making goo-goo eyes at Gates (Nic Bishop), while they figure out where Zoe (Christina Chong) went, and who is a traitor. Michael sacrificed himself for Laurel, but don’t worry. He’s okay.

Dominion 2.4 “A Bitter Truth” review: Yay! Giles, I mean David Whele (Anthony Head) is back in this episode! He is bananas and still talking to William (Luke Allen-Gale), his very dead son (he should know-he killed him). Besides that, he and Zoe pretty much spend the entire episode together. She kidnaps him and is ready to kill him, but he is a smooth talker, and manages to not only flip the tables on her, by the end, she is ready to drink the Kool-Aid.

Gabriel and Michael brawl and then bond like handsome brothers. It looks like my little prediction may come true! Join forces against… Julian’s crazy scary 8-Ball army.

I’m getting ahead of myself. Julian is a dyad and is using the jar (called the 5th Amphora) to put angels into humans. He’s a hybrid angel/human, and I’m not really sure what that is, but he does have a dangerous power. Noma to the rescue though. She promptly steals it, but not before former 8-Ball turned human, Pete, gets turned once again.

Exciting episode. I am loving this show more and more, and not because of the bit of man candy it possesses. I love that everyone is kinda bad and kinda good, and there is always something happening. It is full of action mixed with a swirl of theology.

What does William Shatner think?

I agree William Shatner. I agree.

Dominion airs Thursday nights at 10pm ET on Syfy.
