Last week on The Flash, we got one of the things we’ve been waiting for all season – Barry’s (Grant Gustin) dad freed from jail. Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) made one of those in-case-I-die videos, confessing to Nora Allen’s murder. The coming home party moved me to tears. Too bad his dad took off soon after. I personally, had been waiting a few months for Adam Copeland aka Edge from WWE to be in an episode. He was Atom-Smasher, with crazy strength and cartoon-y growth. Since the singularity, Barry has cut himself off, blaming himself for Eddie and Robbie’s (oh Robbie!) deaths. When it comes down to it, they are all better as a team, and prove it by saving the day once again. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) discovers a new weird power. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), popped in at the end of the episode, proclaiming Barry’s world was in danger and that he too, is The Flash – in another world.

The Flash 2.2 “Flash Of Two Worlds” review: Ahhhhh!!!! This episode ends so great! Two new faces (okay, 1 old). I’m not giving away everything, and since the new faces only got moments this episode, we will discuss them next week.

So first… Earth-1 and Earth-2 explained by Stein. I even understood it, having been schooled about multiple worlds not by the comics, but by Stephen King’s Territories in The Talisman.

Barry throws Jay in a containment cell. He doesn’t trust him at all after the Wells debacle. I still have a big problem with those cells – no bathroom, no chair, no bed – they just stand around in jail. Jay understands the non-trust, but is frustrated because he knows the danger.

Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) wants to be on the nonexiststent metahuman task force. She is completely adorable, and has real chemistry with Barry. They totally geeked out together with Monty Python. He has never done anything like that with Iris (Candice Patton), and they grew up together.

The meta they have to conquer is the Sand Demon (hey… only Cisco names them). You can’t even really hit this guy. Zoom threw him into our Earth-1 to kill The Flash. Jay Garrick said he wants to be the only speedster in all worlds. Now that Garrick has no speed, he is no longer a threat. There is a great doppelganger switchout in this episode. Don’t worry. The Sand Demon does (spoiler alert!) NOT kill Barry.

Cisco is losing it. I thought his developing superpower was mind traveling between worlds or timelines, but apparently he “vibes” (eek!) and can see things that have already happened as well. Stein figures out something is up (of course – genius), but is sworn to secrecy, then collapses. We know he must be alive (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), but it is still worrisome.

Is it me or is Barry and the gang a tiny bit evil. They used to lock up metas. They are 2 for 2, killing them this season.

The Flash airs Tuesday night at 8pm ET on The CW.

INTRODUCING JAY GARRICK “” Jay Garrick (guest star Teddy Sears), a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom, who is set on destroying The Flash. Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team must decide if they can trust this stranger even as they face yet another powerful meta-human. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must deal with a determined officer named Patty Spivot (guest star Shantel VanSanten) who wants to join his meta-human task force.
