While director J.J. Abrams has been saying that the third trailer will be the last for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it appears that didn’t necessarily count for international versions. There’s a new Japanese version of the trailer, and it features a few new scenes and a bit more dialogue from Daisy Ridley‘s Rey. It also seems that the new droid in town BB-8 doesn’t necessarily belong to Rey.
Check out the Japanese trailer here below.
Are you even more pumped for this new footage? Or are you going for a full spoiler-free experience and want no part of new footage?
The production of Star Wars for J.J. Abrams has been an exercise of exhaustion when it comes to secrecy about the plot and details of the story. He has said that there will be TV spots leading into December, so chances are we’re seeing some material here in the Japanese trailer that will eventually be the TV spots in the West. Regardless of reasoning, Kylo Ren holding his seemingly unstable lightsaber right by Rey’s head is something you can’t miss.
Look for Star Wars: The Force Awakens to blast its way into theaters on December 18th, with tickets on sale now. May the Force be with you!
