DC’s Legends of Tomorrow debuts January 21st on The CW, and fans are shivering in anticipation. The spinoff, which takes characters from both Arrow and The Flash, has this motley crew of heroes (rather, legends) led by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), traveling through time. Aiding Hunter in his quest are Ray Parker aka The Atom (Brandon Routh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh), and Sara Lance aka White Canary (Caity Lotz). Arrow and The Flash (Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin) were seen starting off this group in the first trailer, but in this one, the villain, Vandal Savage is the mission. Next week, in a 2-night crossover event, we will be introduced to Savage on The Flash and Arrow.
Check out the video and the tweet below.
The trailer starts with “London 2166,” and Hunter’s voiceover describes Savage as an immortal dictator who has “conquered the entire planet.” Rip Hunter wants this team to travel through time to stop Savage before he becomes too powerful. Each member gets their own little title intro, and we catch glimpses of Arrow and Black Canary. We also get to see Franz Drameh as full Firestorm for the first time.
This trailer looks awesome! They visit the 70s, and I am delighted.
Hunter: “I’ve seen men of steel die and dark knights fall.” Squee!!!!
We will meet Vandal Savage next week. He sounds almost unbeatable.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow begins Thursday, January 21, 2016 on The CW.
