We’ve seen a bunch of trailers and TV spots now for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but now Lucasfilm has released the very first clip from the highly anticipated film!

Watch the 15-second clip, titled “Rey and Finn Escape,” here below.

From the beginning, we’ve been shown a snippet of Daisy Ridley’s Rey, John Boyega’s Finn, and the ball droid BB-8 on the desert planet Jakku running for their lives, with Rey leading the way, as explosions go off behind them. Now, this first clip shows us a part of that scene (the promo image at top is from this, too).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow, and returning alum Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Kenny Baker. Directed by J.J. Abrams, who co-wrote the script with Lawrence Kasdan, the seventh installment of the Star Wars saga opens in theaters on December 16 in France, in the U.K. on December 17, and in the U.S. on December 18, 2015.
