The Movie God   |  @   |

Ghostbusters Stars Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon

We’ve already seen images from the set of director Paul Feig‘s reboot of the Ghostbusters movie franchise starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, such as the first peek at the new uniforms and proton packs, the team’s vehicle the Ecto-1, and the four actresses in full costume next to the Ecto-1.

Now comes the first official image from the movie…or at least an official promo image for the movie. In it, the four leads stand side by side with a glowing green mist around them. There’s actually two images, one a close-up and the other a wider look, but both are very similar. You can see the first official Ghostbusters image below.

House of Cards One

Last night, during the GOP debate, a hopeful campaign video aired, promising a “new day in America.” This America is one where more people will be put to work. The video does not name the comprehensive “America Works” plan, but all of us #FU2016 campaigners know who the most ruthless presidential candidate is, the man who is hoping to be elected for real…

President Frank Underwood of Netflix’s House Of Cards.

Check out the video and tweets below.

It goes without saying that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most anticipated films of the year. And as such, the expectations are very high for director J.J. Abrams to give us something that will remind us what Star Wars is really about. So it is easy to understand why he might be a little terrified about what fans might think of his vision for the franchise for the new generation. But it is safe to say that not only has he met those expectations, he also exceeded them.

I’ll start out by saying that I am not a hardcore fan of the franchise, but I understand its mythology and how people can live and breathe the world of Star Wars. Second, this will be a spoiler-free review, meaning I won’t reveal what hasn’t been already revealed in trailers and interviews. This is so that everyone can be just as surprised about the film as I was when I first watched it with my fellow journalists. Check out my review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens here below.

The Movie God   |  @   |

LAIKA 10th Anniversary

The stop-motion animated films of LAIKA Entertainment might not be the most financially successful features released, but there is no denying the incredible amount of detail they put into creating their miniature worlds. Many would opt for just digitally animating the movies, but LAIKA stays dedicated to their craft. And it’s a real shame they don’t do much bigger numbers at the box office, because the tiny worlds they create really are incredible.

LAIKA is celebrating their ten-year anniversary this year, and to mark the achievement they have released a brief video looking back at their work, including the features Coraline, ParaNorman, and most recently, The Boxtrolls.

Click on over to the other side to check out the video.
