Last summer, we saw a sneak peek and a full-length image of Pennywise the Clown, as well as a look at the terrifying entity lurking within sewer system beneath the town of Derry, Maine.
Bill Skarsgard (Allegiant) stars in the upcoming film as the main villain Pennywise, a physical representation of the evil shape-shifting title entity that feeds on fear… and children. Tim Curry memorably portrayed the character in the 1990 television miniseries adaptation of King’s 1986 best-seller.
Directed by Andrés Muschietti (Mama) and starring Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Grazer, It opens in theaters on September 8, 2017.
When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
