20th Century Fox has released a high-speed first look teaser for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the surprise 2014 hit Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Like any trailer teaser the video is very short, running only 15 seconds long. Unlike most trailer teasers, however, this one presents the footage in rapid-fire, subliminal message-like flashes. There’s also no mention of when we’ll see an actual trailer, interestingly enough, which is usually the whole point of a trailer tease. Though to be fair, the video is dubbed “The Ultimate Breakdown,” and makes no promises of a trailer. Still, it’s safe to assume one is coming soon.
You can find the first Kingsman: The Golden Circle teaser below.
SYNOPSIS:
“Kingsman: The Secret Service” introduced the world to Kingsman – an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy”¦
Starring in the sequel is Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Elton John, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges.
The movie is once again directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass), with the script written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children). It’s based on the comic book The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released in theaters on September 29th.
