Netflix has released an official trailer for their upcoming original horror-comedy The Babysitter, which is coming to the streaming service later this month.
The movie follows a kid who decides to spy on his babysitter, only to discover that she actually intends to sacrifice him. You can find more info and check out the trailer below.
The Babysitter comes from someone we haven’t heard much from recently, McG. The director of Terminator Salvation, This Means War, We Are Marshall, and the Charlie’s Angels movies has been focusing more on television and producer work in recent years, including executive producing and directing episodes of the Lethal Weapon TV series. His last feature as a director was 2014’s 3 Days to Kill.
McG directs the movie from a screenplay penned by Brian Duffield, whose work was selected to the 2014 Black List. He also penned the screenplay for Jane Got a Gun, another Black List script, and worked on the script for the Divergent Series entry Insurgent.
Starring in the movie is Samara Weaving, Judah Lewis, Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Leslie Bibb, Andrew Bachelor, and Hana Mae Lee.
The Babysitter will be released on Netflix on October 13th.
Fair warning: the trailer is a little not safe for viewing at the workplace or around tiny humans, and some might find it a little spoilery. So proceed with caution.
