Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

A good “is it April Fools’ Day already?” story is always fun, and this one is a doozie. It’s being reported that Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill writer and director Quentin Tarantino has come up with what’s described simply as “a great idea” for a new Star Trek movie, and he has pitched that idea to producer J.J. Abrams, who directed a reboot of the Trek cinematic franchise in 2009 and a sequel in 2013.

If that’s not unbelievable enough for you, it gets even crazier. The report says that if all goes well, Tarantino could even end up directing this new Star Trek movie.

Last week on The CW’s crossover “Crisis on Earth-X,” members of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow converged on Central City to celebrate the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West (Grant Gustin, Candice Patton). Alas, that wedding did not happen because Nazis from Earth-35 aka Earth-X, the terrible world where Hitler won WWII, invaded the church and a fierce battle ensued. Our heroes had to fight their way out through Metallo, Red Tornado, OverGirl (Melissa Benoist), Evil Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), and Eobard Thawne wearing a Wells (Tom Cavanagh) face. They had one hero on their side that was lost on their Earth – Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller).

Spoilers below.
