James McAvoy Image Marks IT: Chapter Two Production Start

Production on IT: Chapter Two has officially begun. Ever since the first film was a hit, Warner Bros. has fast-tracked a sequel which would give the horror film a conclusion and bring an end to our fear of clowns – like that will ever happen.

So to celebrate such an occasion, James McAvoy, who will play the adult version of Bill Denbrough, has released a new pun-tastic photo that brings in a few laughs at the expense of Derry, Maine. Check out the photo below.

The photo was posted on McAvoy’s official Instagram page, which sees him take a photo of a Laughing Cow piece of cheese. Here’s the photo:

And for those who cannot read the caption, it says:

It should be noted that cows were also victims in the fAlthough ALthough, Mike was always hesitant to kill them. So maybe the photo is two-fold. Let’s just hope the Laughing Cow doesn’t pop out of that image the same way that portrait of the creepy scream lady did in the first.

All joking aside, this is probably one of the most anticipated horror sequels filmgoers are looking forward to. Not because the first was such a huge success, but because of the all-star cast that will appear in the sequel. IT: Chapter Two also stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom.

Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jack Dylan Grazer are expected to return to reprise their roles as the kids for some flashback scenes. Although, that has yet to be confirmed. Of course, with a film as highly anticipated as this, you want to be as secretive as possible. So let’s just hope nothing gets leaked. But those kids were the best part of the first film. So not having them back would be a slight disappointment.

The one thing that hasn’t changed is that Bill Skarsgard will be playing Pennywise. Because you can’t have an IT: Chapter Two without everyone’s favorite dancing clown.

Andy Muschietti returns to direct, with a script from Gary Dauberman, who also returns as the film’s screenwriter.

IT: Chapter Two opens in theaters on September 6, 2019.
