One of my favorite horror films to come out this year will finally be available for you to own this summer. Jordan Peele‘s Get Out follow-up Us was a huge box office success grossing over $170 million since it first opened back in March.
Now, Universal is ready to give us a reason to be afraid to go into a House of Mirrors or at least question everything we know about ourselves when they release the film on digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD. Check out the full list of special features below.
What I loved about Us was that it reinvented the idea of what a horror movie is by finding that balance of horror and social satire. I said in my review that “it examines the human condition and uses scares as a vehicle to take a look at the monsters that lurk beneath our skin and what would happen if it were ever to crawl out of it.”
Now with the release of the Blu-ray, we will be able to get deeper into what Peele was trying to address. As if the film wasn’t already layered enough. We’ll get to see even more behind the scene action, the decisions behind some of the imagery and metaphors for doppelgängers, rabbits, and the Nutcracker ballet scene.
