When Marvel releases one of their installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s fun to take a look at what nods the filmmakers have made to the comic book source material. On the most recent episode of the This Week In Marvel podcast, host Ryan Penagos, aka Agent M, talked with Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame Visual Effects Supervisor Dan DeLeeuw about some of the comic book Easter eggs found in the latest film. Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame is out now on Digital (with an option to get the bonus features), while the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions will be released on August 13, 2019 and are available now for preorder.

| ‘The Man Who Fell To Earth’ Series Coming To CBS All Access From Alex Kurtzman
CBS All Access, CBS’s subscription streaming service, announced on Thursday plans for The Man Who Fell To Earth, a new original series based on Walter Tevis’s 1963 science fiction novel of the same name and the 1976 film starring David Bowie. Per the announcement, which was first made at a Television Critics Association presentation, the series will “follow an alien who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.”

| ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Series To Get Book and Comic Book Prequels
Star Trek: Picard, the upcoming streaming series featuring Star Trek: The Next Generation character Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) won’t hit CBS All-Access until 2020, but two prequel projects for the show will be released first! First up will be a deluxe 3-issue comic book miniseries from IDW Publishing, to be followed up by a novel from Simon & Schuster Gallery Books, both of which will center around events that take place before the beginning of the Star Trek: Picard streaming series.
