Each and every week, I, “What did you get at NYCC?” Henchman21, and “Con Crud!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of October 16, 2013. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. I don’t know about you, but I’m still a little warn out from New York Comic-Con, so it’s a bit of a short list this week, with just a couple of new hardcovers for you. But what we lack in quantity, we make up for in quality with two can’t-miss books and one title that the Empress has been waiting for since the summer. And if you’re looking for the hot new single issues out this week, there’s a new issue of Hawkeye, Invincible, Morning Glories, The Sixth Gun, and Batman/Superman to keep you entertained. Now if you don’t mind, we’re going to go take a nap while you enjoy this week’s GoD List!

I am jealous of those who went to the panel for FX’s Archer on Saturday at New York Comic-Con because they get to not only see the cast, and hear about the new season that drops in January 2014, but they also got to see this take on the music video for the 80’s classic Kenny Loggins song “Danger Zone.” [We also got free “Archer” hats! – Ed.] Fortunately, those of who didn’t attend the panel are able to bask in the glory, courtesy of Uproxx. Check out the video here below.

The next entry in the Miracleman saga was unveiled Saturday as Marvel Comics announced at New York Comic-Con 2013 that they are moving forward and reprinting issues of the series starting in January 2014 with Miracleman #1. From there, it looks like the series will reprint all of the classic Alan Moore run from the 80s until it reaches the previously unpublished Miracleman #25, written by Neil Gaiman with art by Mark Buckingham. After that, Marvel will publish all new Miracleman stories by Gaiman and Buckingham, with the plan being to finish the story that Gaiman had planned almost 20 years ago. Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said, “The wait is over. Marvel will finally be bringing these timeless, ground-breaking stories to a whole new generation of reader.” The new announcement was made during the Cup O’ Joe panel at NYCC, with a video by Gaiman introducing the plans for the series. Check out the covers here below.

I was sad when the previous run of Peter David‘s X-Factor ended last month after a solid 8-year run, but I am happy now that Marvel has announced that they will be bringing the series back in 2014 under the new name of All-New X-Factor, and that David will return as the writer of the series. Joining him on art will be Carmine Di Giandomenico. The new series will jump off of events set up at the end of the last run, with Polaris working with Serval Industries to lead a corporate-funded superhero team. Joining her will be Polaris’s half-brother and former X-Factor member Quicksilver, as well as Gambit, coming off his own recently canceled series. We’ll also see some other members on the team, although those haven’t been announced yet.

I am a child of the 80s, so of course there is a special place in my heart for both G.I. Joe and Transformers, and I love both of the comic series that IDW Publishing is currently releasing, so I am doubly excited to hear that the publisher is going to be releasing a new ongoing series teaming up the two properties. What has me even more excited is that the series is going to be co-written and drawn by Tom Scioli (Godland). Scioli will be joined by Transformers veteran writer John Barber on writing duties, with the series set to release in the summer of 2014.
