So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of October 9, 2013. Yup, it’s another week before a big convention which means tons of great books dropping this week, especially when it comes to collections, with new volumes of Thor, the first collection of Greg Rucka’s Lazarus, new work from Paul Pope with Battling Boy, and the Thanos Rising collection, just to name a few. However, the winner of this week’s single issues is Image Comics, which is why so many of the books on this week’s list come from them, and I didn’t even write about all the ones I could have, with Rocket Girl #1 featuring art by Amy Reeder being another can’t-miss. And that’s not even mentioning all the other amazing books out. So, don’t skip your trip to your friendly neighborhood comic store this week, and if you still need books to buy, look no further than The GoD List!

With the second season of Arrow launching on The CW next week, as well as plans for an upcoming spin-off of that show featuring The Flash, AND plans for a show on Fox that will focus on Batman’s Commissioner Gordon, there are a ton of DC Comics properties being put onto the small screen. We can add one more with the announced plans, courtesy of Deadline.com, for an upcoming series based on the adventures of DC’s magical confidence man John Constantine.

The series is set to be written and executive produced by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist) and David S. Goyer, co-writer of all of the recent DC movies like The Dark Knight and Man of Steel.

See that image above? It is two separate posters by artist Francesco Francavilla showing non-spoilery images from the first and last episode of the recently completed TV series Breaking Bad. Many of Francavilla’s fans have been asking if he will be selling the posters anywhere, and sure enough he has announced on his blog that they will be on sale. The downside is that there will be a very limited print run, so if you want one of these you better move fast.

Go to Francavilla’s art sales website here and pick up one or both of these very cool posters for $30 each, but you only have until 2pm ET on Saturday, October 5, 2013 to pre-order them. After that he will count how many orders he got, print off that number of posters, and that will be it.

Here’s the thing, I was going to follow last week’s format and do a bunch of quick shots about a bunch of issues out this week. But then I started writing and I got excited about the comics out this week because comics are freaking awesome! And there’s a lot of freaking awesome comics out this week and I couldn’t stop writing about them. So as you can see, we’ve got a lot to get through this week and not much time to do it so let’s not delay anymore, let’s dance with The GoD List in the pale moonlight.
