From Blumhouse Productions, the studio behind Paranormal Activity and Insidious, The Gallows creeps into theaters July 10, and Geeks of Doom has your chance to see it first!

We usually see crowdfunding used to help fund indie movies, comics, games, and so on, but it can also be used to do great things for charity. A new campaign has been started on Indiegogo called Will Ferrell’s SuperMegaBlastMax Gamer Challenge. The basic idea: raise a bunch of money for kids who have beaten or are battling cancer and get some cool stuff, with one person winning the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play video games with Ferrell and have it broadcasted on Twitch.
