There’s probably not a whole lot of geeks tuning into Ellen Degeneres‘s talk show The Ellen Degeneres Show each day, but there are swarms of them tuning into AMC’s The Walking Dead each week. Each year in October Ellen sends one of her writers through a haunted house because, you know, people getting the crap scared out of them is pure entertainment gold. This year Ellen sent an executive producer along with her writer to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to check out their Walking Dead-themed haunted house, and of course, hilarity ensued. | ‘Toy Story Of TERROR!’ To Kick Off ABC Family’s 13 Nights Of Halloween 2013 |

On Saturday, October 19, ABC Family will kick off their annual 13 Nights Of Halloween program, with this year’s lead feature to be Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story Of TERROR! at 8/7c, followed by Monsters Inc.. The 13-night event will last through Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, and will mark the network’s debut of Men in Black, as well as include a brand new episode of Pretty Little Liars and the premiere of its spinoff series Ravenswood. Programming will also include several Tim Burton movies, like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Batman, Batman Returns, as well as Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Teen Wolf, Twilight, The Goonies, and SO much more — including encore presentations of many of the aforementioned movies. Today is National Fortune Cookie Day and the Oldboy remake is celebrating. Check out the poster here below, which shows just how Oldboy celebrating, along with the special fortune that’s inside the cookie. The marketing has been quite interesting so far for this American remake, directed by Spike Lee and starring Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sharlto Copley. During San Diego Comic-Con back in July, FilmDistrict had Oldboy hotel escorts carrying yellow umbrellas outside the convention center “waiting to serve you” at the Oldboy Hotel.

| 3D Black Sabbath Maze Coming To Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights |

Black Sabbath is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood! This fall, the theme park’s famed Halloween Horror Nights will feature an all-original horror-themed 3D maze called Black Sabbath: 13 3D, a new attraction based on the legendary band’s lyrics that will also include scenes inspired by their latest album, 13. While going through the attraction, guests will reportedly face Lucifer and his bride, blood-soaked dead bodies, and bubbling pools of “radioactive water,” all while songs inspired by classic Black Sabbath tunes “Luke’s Wall,” “Iron Man,” “Paranoid,” “War Pigs,” “Electric Funeral,” and the haunting “Black Sabbath” boom at high volumes through the confines of the maze. The maze’s design contains “horrifying graveyards, disturbing madhouses, and bone-chilling battlefields,” along with imagery of the godfathers of heavy metal themselves – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler, the co-founders of Black Sabbath, currently on tour promoting 13, their first studio album together in 35 years. In celebration of National Ice Cream Day today, Walt Disney has released a new e-card featuring a character from their new computer animated flick Frozen, a snowman named Olaf, who we saw in the first trailer for the movie.
