| ‘House On Haunted Hill’ Remake Coming To Blu-ray From Scream Factory
1999’s House on Haunted Hill, a remake of the 1959 movie of the same name starring Vincent Price and directed by William Castle, is not exactly considered a good movie. It sits at 28% on both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. But in this particular case none of that matters as I, along with many others, love it. A while back I decided I needed to add it to my Blu-ray collection, and was rather surprised to discover it was not available for some reason—at least not here in the States. This surprise turned to confused shock when I found out that while the remake was not on Blu-ray yet, its 2007 sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill somehow was. You’d think they’d at least bundle the two together, but nope. Now comes word that the 1999 House on Haunted Hill is finally making its way to Blu-ray thanks to Scream Factory later this year. | First Trailer For Disney’s Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ Remake Directed By Tim Burton Arrives
Walt Disney Pictures has released the first trailer for Dumbo, the next remake of one of their animated classics on the way after the live-action Winnie the Pooh movie, Christopher Robin, is released later this summer. The movie is directed by Tim Burton and stars Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton, Eva Green, Nico Parker, and Finley Hobbins. The first trailer is just a teaser trailer, but it does run over a minute and gives us a good peek at the movie. Basically it looks like Burton remade Dumbo in the same style as his Big Fish, which is easily one of my favorite Burton films. Continue below to read a synopsis and watch the first trailer.
