| Sony Pictures CEO Says “Very Famous People” Want To Remake ‘The Princess Bride’
Legendary television writer Norman Lear recently renewed the overall deal he has with Sony. The deal is set to take Lear into his 100th year on this planet of ours. Variety published a feature about the 97-year-old Lear, but it was just a small part of that feature that set the ol’ internet on fire today. In it there is a quote from Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra, who says that some “very famous people” have approached Sony with hopes of remaking the 1987 fairy tale classic The Princess Bride, which was executive produced by Lear. | James Corden and Daisy Ridley Join ‘Peter Rabbit’
Peter Rabbit is easily one of the most memorable pieces of children literature to ever be released. Since its publication back in 1902, five subsequent books were then released between 1904 and 1912. The rest is, as they say, history. Merchandise and adaptations would soon follow, thus continuing the success of the franchise. Now, the title character is about to get the big-screen treatment from Sony Animation Pictures. A new report says The Late Late Show host James Corden, Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley, and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 star Elizabeth Debecki will star in the live-action animation hybrid of Peter Rabbit. Rose Bryne will also have a role in the film. More on the story below.
