| Sony Pictures CEO Says “Very Famous People” Want To Remake ‘The Princess Bride’
Legendary television writer Norman Lear recently renewed the overall deal he has with Sony. The deal is set to take Lear into his 100th year on this planet of ours. | What’s In Store For Fathom Events In 2017 – ‘The Godfather,’ ‘Casablanca,’ & More
If you are bored by the constant stream of sequels and superhero movies, and yearn to see the classics of yesteryear, Fathom Events is there for you. Thanks to the good people at Fathom, 2016 was a great year at the movies for me and my family. I was able to recreate a monumental moment of my childhood, that of my dad taking a 13-year old me to see From Dusk Till Dawn, by taking my 12-year old son Brandon to see the 20th Anniversary showing. We also took in the 20th anniversary of Space Jam, as well as other classics like Planet of the Apes. My wife and I used Fathom Events for date nights, catching several classics throughout the year, like the 40th Anniversary of Taxi Driver and a near Halloween showing of Kubrick’s The Shining. So what’s on this year’s schedule?

If you’re one of these people a new video has been released by CineFix for their “What’s The Difference?” YouTube series that goes over the differences between the book and the movie. It’s a lengthy video, running nearly 15 minutes in length, but it’s good if you’re not a big fan of that reading thing. In which case why are you still up here when you can be down there watching the video?

| ‘Princess Of Thrones’: Princess Bride Meets Game Of Thrones (Video)
The Internet is truly a wonderful place. After all, where else could you find such a hilarious and perfect mash-up as Princess of Thrones, a trailer combining the child-like enthusiasm and charm of Rob Reiner’s seminal classic, The Princess Bride with the raw brutality, vulgarity, and raunchiness of HBO’s Games of Thrones. The video mash-up comes from the warped minds of Break.com writer/editor Todd Spence and YouTube’s Shawn Kohne. It can be viewed here below.
