It’s been weeks since we saw the teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of their animated classic, Aladdin. Based on the Middle Eastern folktale collection “One Thousand and One Nights,” the film will see a street rat named Aladdin (Mena Massoud) finding an all-powerful magical lamp that holds a wish-granting Genie (Will Smith). Using its power, he’ll disguise himself as a prince in order to impress Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott). The film isn’t due out in theaters until next year, but a handful of new images have been released that give us our first looks at Princess Jasmine, Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), and, of course, Genie. Check these images out, plus a few tidbits on the film from the cast and director Guy Ritchie, below.

They will be using real lives ones. There has been confirmation that director Charlie Bean (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) will be using real, live dogs for the live-action reimagining of Lady and the Tramp. More on the report below.

| Video: Watch A Full-Length ‘Shrek’ Remake Using Mix Of Animation and Live-Action Styles
For anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, a full-length remake of the 2001 animated hit Shrek titled Shrek Retold made its way online last week. And somehow has not been taken down yet. This is likely due to the fact that it’s an extremely bizarre remake. It was made by over 200 people. They broke the movie down into short segments, and each of those segments was remade using a variety of different animation and live-action styles. The result is an acid trip version of Shrek. Think of some of the stranger shit you’ve seen on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim at four in the morning, and you have a pretty good idea of what you’re about to see. You can give Shrek Retold a watch below.
