| Cream Bassist/Singer Jack Bruce Has Died
Bassist Jack Bruce, best remembered for his stint in Cream, the 1960s English power trio which took the sounds of the blues and electrified them to the hilt, ultimately unconsciously coining the term “supergroup,” died today at his home in Suffolk. He was 71. The news was confirmed by Bruce’s publicist, who also mentioned that the musician’s family was by his side in his final moments. The news was also posted to Bruce’s official Facebook page this morning. No cause of death has been revealed at this time, though it was reported that he had suffered from liver disease.

| ‘La Bamba’ and ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Star Elizabeth Peña Dies At 55
Actress Elizabeth Peña has passed away at the age of 55. She died October 14th at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, though the cause of her passing is not yet clear. Peña broke out in the ’80s with memorable roles in movies such as Down and Out in Beverly Hills, La Bamba, *batteries not included, and Blue Steel. She would go in to star in many more titles over the course of her lengthy career, including Jacob’s Ladder, The Waterdance, Lone Star, Rush Hour, Tortilla Soup, and Pixar’s The Incredibles, in which she voiced the character Mirage.

Richard Kiel, the tall, oversized lumbering hulk of a man, who carved a niche in Hollywood with his many character roles, highlights being the villainous Jaws in the James Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, has died at the age of 74. The cause of death is not specified, but Kiel had suffered a broken leg last week reports Just Jared. It is not immediately known if Kiel’s death was due to complications from the leg injury.

| Comedy Great Joan Rivers Dead At 81 |

Comedy legend Joan Rivers died today, according to her daughter Melissa Rivers, who issued a statement. She was 81. On August 28, Rivers had gone in for vocal cord surgery at a clinic in New York City, but went into cardiac arrest during the procedure, prompting her transport to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was put into a medically induced coma and on life support. Yesterday, she was taken off life support and moved out of ICU and into a private where she was reportedly being made comfortable. Her daughter says she was surrounded by family and friends when she passed away in the hospital early today.

| Survivor Singer Jimi Jamison Dead At 63
Jimi Jamison, best known as the lead singer of the band Survivor, was found dead today of an apparent heart attack. The singer was reportedly found at his home in Memphis, TN, by his son at around 1am on Monday morning and is believed to have died on Sunday. He was 63. The Mississippi-born Jamison joined the Chicago rock band Survivor in 1984 after their 1982 smash-hit “Eye of the Tiger,” which was the theme song for the movie Rocky III, but was with the group for several of their other popular songs, like “Burning Heart,” which was used for Rocky IV, “High On You,” “I Can’t Hold Back,” “Is This Love?”, and “The Search Is Over.” He left the group in 1989, recorded several solo albums, and co-wrote/sang on the popular Baywatch theme song “I’m Always Here.” He eventually rejoined Survivor in 2000 for another six years, and then again in 2011 and has been touring with the band ever since, alongside original singer Dave Bickler.
