American Gods
Season 1
Blu-ray | DVD
Developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green for Starz Television
Starring Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Peter Stormare, Crispin Glover, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Gillian Anderson
Lionsgate Home Entertainment
Release date: October 17, 2017 Much like Watchman, the highly regarded comic book miniseries from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, Neil Gaiman‘s 2001 fantasy novel American Gods was something fans figured would be too difficult to translate to the big screen. It’s definitely a story better left for television, where it could be told over many episodes and possibly even seasons, and it almost happened in 2011 when HBO snagged the rights. But the cable giant that gave us the masterpiece that is Game Of Thrones, a worthy adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s best-selling fantasy series, just couldn’t get an American Gods series off the ground. A few years later, Fremantle Media bought the rights with Starz jumping on to develop a show with Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) and Michael Green (Logan) as showrunners. Now that sounded promising! Even more promising “” Gaiman himself was on board as an executive producer. What happened next was the creation of one of the best shows on television.

| ‘Shadow Of The Colossus’ Remake Gameplay Preview and Details Released |

Last week we saw a new trailer for the Shadow of the Colossus remake come out of Paris Games Week 2017. Also released recently was a peek at actual gameplay from the remake, as well as some information about the game. For existing fans the gameplay trailer will simply show you the shiny new version in action. For those who have never played Shadow of the Colossus before but are exited to discover it for the first time, the preview offers a quick lesson in what the game is all about: navigating a large and lonely open world, figuring out where the next Colossus is, and then figuring out how to bring it down. The video makes doing all of this look pretty easy, but it can be quite a challenge, especially for newcomers. If you don’t want to know how to defeat any of the Colossi you might want to skip this one…or at least stop watching once the video gets to that point (the image above is also a handy indicator of when to bail). For everyone else, continue below to dive in.

AMC
Air Date: Sunday, November 5, 2017 Warning – SPOILERS for AMC’s The Walking Dead… On last week’s The Walking Dead, the three groups that banded together to fight Negan and the Saviors — Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom — came up with a plan to finally best their enemy. Most of the episode featured all the groups shooting at one another in a machine-gun frenzy. There’s a purpose for it all… I guess, but honestly, it was kind of annoying. The best part of it was that the trio team cornered the Saviors at first, killing a lot of them, so that when they turned, they then attacked the living. Nice strategy. This week’s episode, 8.3 “Monsters,” continues the annoying gunfire. Once again, we see King Ezekiel giving one of his inspirational sermons about how they have a plan and they are going to “win.” We then see them head off into the woods, where they are ambushed by some Saviors, but it turns out they have their people surrounding the area. More gunfire, those Saviors are killed, and as Ezekiel promised during his speech, not one from their own ranks is killed. Carol says that’s because they have strategy.

| Amazon In Talks With WB For ‘Lord Of The Rings’ TV Series
Rejoice, fantasy fans! When the final season of Game of Thrones comes to a close, we no longer have to be devastated about it. OK—we don’t have to be devastated for too long, anyway. Let’s be honest, I weep at least once a week just thinking about it. But I swallow a pint of Ben & Jerry’s like it’s an Advil, and move on with my day. Like a responsible adult. Other networks would sacrifice anything adorable you can think of to have what HBO has in Thrones, but instead of finding that next untapped book series to adapt into a hit, one big name is looking to an old classic: The Lord of the Rings. Amazon Studios has entered into negotiations with Warner Brothers Television and author J.R.R. Tolkien‘s estate in hopes of developing a TV series based on Tolkien’s legendary story.
